Day 9

Today was day #9 of the 16 week training program. Today’s goal was swimming 900 yards in total total with 4 intervals of 100 yards each, resting for 15 seconds between each interval. The swim didn’t feel great, but despite feeling “clunky” I posted my best swimming times (2:42/100 yards). The first 200 yards were difficult and my breathing cadence wasn’t there. I’m finding that just like running the beginning of the workout is always hard and then, toward the end, I find the groove. I’m told this is called the “forever swim.” This Sunday I’m taking my first swim lesson since I was 12. I’m excited to actually get some help although I’m embarrassed to show an actual instructor how I swim.
