Day 24: On the trainer
My training week begins on Tuesday due to Monday being a rest day. I’m always thankful for the rest day but, just like last week, find myself eager to get back into the training. It’s interesting how much I’m enjoying the training even when a dread the early morning swim, or the long run, or the garage trainer. Something about the routine of the training is satisfying. Not to mention the accomplishment of completing a given day’s training.
Tuesday’s plan called for 40 minutes on the bike with 8 minutes of hard riding. I ended up doing a structured ride on Zwift that turned out to be one hour long with intervals of 3 minutes of 200,220,250 Watts each. By the last block my legs were tired but not burning.
Back to the pool and treadmill tomorrow.
